September Holidays 2014 in New York
The weather in New York in September is still warm and welcoming with average highs of 24°C and lows of 16°C
It´s a little less busy since a lot of the summer crowds, especially families, have gone home, although towards the end of September, the evening can get a little bit cooler. Make sure to pack an umbrella and leave the sandals and flip flops at home. The disadvantages of visiting New York in September are that subways and streets can still be a little uncomfortable in the heat and most of the summer activities around the cities have ended.
September Events in New York include:
- Labor Day
- Fashion Week
- San Gennaro Festival
- Baseball Season
- U.S. Open
September Holidays 2014 in Las Vegas
Las Vegas in September is still hot so make sure to pack accordingly, with average highs of 35°C and lows of 19°C. It&rsquos still very warm but the oppressive summer heat is long gone.
Like the rest of the country, Las Vegas is quieter in September as the children have gone back to school so the Las Vegas pools will be a little tamer and with less splashing. Late afternoons can be idyllic and you can relax before heading out for an early dinner and late night at the nightclubs.
The best times to walk the Strip are before noon and at about 5pm. It can still be a little uncomfortable in the mid-afternoon.
If you´re looking for a good day trip, visit Zion National Park as an alternative to the Grand Canyon, which might be a little far away. On the Strip, visit Stratosphere, where you can go to the top and see the last of the summer storms dissipate.  In general, Las Vegas nights are so inviting, you could find yourself at the front of the Bellagio or having a relaxing drink outside in the evening sun.
