350 days of sunny and warm weather brings plenty of things to do in Palm Springs. No surprise, Palm Springs offers a wealth of activities and events throughout the year. Golf, swimming, tennis, horseback riding and hiking in the nearby desert and mountain areas are major forms of recreation in Palm Springs. Spend the afternoon gallery hopping and enjoying fine art, sculptures, and unique boutiques on Palm Canyon Drive.

Take a hike to see Southern California's most breathtaking scenery and tallest mountain ranges. Palm Springs has miles of well-marked and maintained routes throughout the historical neighbourhoods and downtown. If you like camping Ruth Hardy Park, Sunrise Park, and DeMuth Park offer pleasant, shady spots to picnic, complete with tables, barbecues, and playground equipment.

Also, hit the tennis courts. Free court time is available at some of the city’s best locations, such as DeMuth Park, Palm Springs High School, and Ruth Hardy Park. Get a glimpse into the lives of the ancient Cahuilla Indians at downtown’s Agua Caliente Cultural Museum Information Center located at the Village Green Hertiage Center.

Moreover, no trip to Palm Springs is complete without a ride up the TRAM! Try the Palm Springs Tram's- world-famous rotating cable cars provide an amazing scenic adventure ride to the top of the beautiful and often snow-capped Palm Springs mountains, Mt San Jacinto. Ascend 8,000 in the world's largest rotating tramcars. It is forty degrees colder at the top and a completely different world than Palm Springs below.

Another amazing and must see attraction in Palm Springs is Wolf Mountain Sanctuary. Located only a seventy-five minute drive northwest of Palm Springs in the high desert, Wolf Mountain Sanctuary is one of the few sanctuaries which allows human interaction with the wolves, including the wolf stars of the Twilight movie series!

Palm Springs International Film Festival 5 – 16 January

Palm Springs International Film Festival is a film festival held in Palm Springs, California. It was started in 1989 and is held annually in January. The Festival features a stellar line-up of more than 200 films from more than 60 countries, special events and gala receptions.

Tour De Palm Springs 10 – 11 February

Tour de Palm Springs is an event designed to raise money for non-profit organizations in the Coachella Valley. Palm Springs' famous weather, gorgeous mountain scenery, thousands of bike riders, and raising money for charities make the Tour de Palm Springs and event like no other!
