The Van Dusen Botanical Garden is a living museum of plant collections from around the world; this spectacular 55-acre botanical garden is beautiful in every season and is home to 65 species of birds.
The Bard on the Beach Shakespeare Festival takes place every Jun-Sept, on the waterfront in Vancouver’s Vanier Park, bringing to life the magic of Shakespeare’s great plays. Take in the spectacular panoramic views of the city Skyride whisks you to the top of Grouse Mountain, the Peak of Vancouver.

Restaurant food in Vancouver is diverse, sophisticated and so good it`s worth visiting just to eat. Up market favourites include West, CinCin, Pied-A-Terre, Vij`s and Rangoli. Don`t miss The Observatory at the top of Grouse Mountain for some of the best food and best views anywhere.
For more modest fare and prices, try Moderne Burger on Broadway and Jolly`s Indian Food on 4th Avenue. Moderne Burger has fantastic retro architecture with great hamburgers, milkshakes and malts in metal glasses and crisp, hot fries. Jolly`s offers really good Indian food that is perfectly balanced and not overly spicy.

Shopping in Vancouver
Shopping in Vancouver is easy because shopping areas are concentrated into a few blocks. Most antique stores are on South Granville or on Main Street. Most outdoor gear is near MEC on West Broadway and most high end boutiques are on Robson Street.
For a mega mall experience head for Canada`s largest Mall, the Metropolis, with more than 450 shops, two food fairs, several restaurants, two giant grocery stores, a Grand Court performance area, Silver City cinema complex and a hotel.
For street shopping, Vancouverites and visitors alike love Robson Street on the Vancouver west end, just two blocks south of and parallel to West Georgia. Here you`ll find many of the best shops in Vancouver and plenty of places to eat so you can keep up your shopping stamina.

Weather in Vancouver
Vancouver has one of the most pleasant climates in Canada! In summer, the days are usually long, warm and sunny. Nights are cool and clear. Spring and autumn are also comfortable, with moderate temperatures and occasional rain. It can snow occasionally during December and January.
