Web Developer
We are on the lookout for a Junior Web Developer to join us here at Tour America. We are one of Ireland’s largest travel agencies. Always expanding and looking for new ways to innovate, this is an exciting opportunity to help transform Tour America into a state-of-the-art e-commerce travel platform.
JOB DESCRIPTION
In this newly created role, we are looking for an optimistic Junior Web Developer who can learn our tools quickly (and suggest new ones where needed) and is willing to roll up their sleeves and get stuck in. Day-to-day you can expect to be building new features and components, upgrading existing systems, and recommending innovative new ideas if you see an opportunity.
There are many opportunities to challenge yourself every day; including developing new customer-facing features to create an amazing customer experience, providing real-time access to data for travel agent professionals to determine trends and current market conditions, and exploring new technologies and figuring out where to use them.
REQUIREMENTS OF THE ROLE
– Strong knowledge of PHP and Javascript/Node.JS is a must
– Proficient in SQL, HTML & CSS
– Desire to grow & work in a large-scale travel agency
– Collaborate, communicate and document regularly your progress with a lead developer
BONUS POINTS
– Experience with modern WordPress
– Know how to navigate a Linux terminal
– You have worked with or understand how REST and SOAP API technology works
