Orlando holds the title of theme park capital of the world for good reason! Home to world class theme parks including Universal Orlando, Islands of Adventure, Volcano Bay, Walt Disney World and SeaWorld to name but a few, Orlando screams perfect holiday fun!
Whether you’re a roller-coaster fanatic, a fan of thrilling simulators, a lover of entertaining parades or you dream of seeing a magical fireworks display, the theme parks of Orlando will wow you. It’s what keeps holidaymakers returning year after year.
Orlando shopping is incredible and a must on your visit. Home to two fantastic outlet shopping malls, and several shopping centres, Orlando will leave you spoilt for choice. Orlando Premium Outlets International Drive and the Premium Outlets at Vine-land are both worth a visit as is the high street favourite, the Florida Mall and the up-market Mall of Millennia.
One of the key things that keeps people returning to Orlando year in and year out is that the destination and its theme parks are always announcing new attractions. Over recent years there has been many new developments including the expansion of The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, the opening of the Orlando Eye, the opening of the brand new Water Theme Park Volcano Bay and Orlando’s first virtual roller-coaster was announced at SeaWorld, Kracken Unleashed. Walt Disney World have also announced many new attractions coming soon including a Star Wars themed land and a Toy Story themed land.

Orlando is home to hundreds of amazing restaurants to suit everyone’s budget and taste. International Drive, where many choose to stay when in Orlando has restaurants all along it offering everything from steakhouses and Italian, to American cuisine and Asian. CityWalk at Universal Orlando Resort is another fantastic spot to enjoy some great food, as is Disney Springs at Walt Disney World.
For those days away from the theme parks, Orlando has so much for the whole family to enjoy. From soaring high in the Orlando Eye and enjoying some crazy golf, to learning about all things wacky at Ripley’s Believe it Not, you’ll be spoilt for choice when it comes to family activities in Orlando. What’s also great about these activities is that many of them are indoors (eg Madame Tussaud’s and SeaLife), so they’re perfect for those rainy days.
Orlando offers a fantastic nightlife scene for anyone who still has some energy after a day in the parks! CityWalk at Universal Orlando Resort is a fantastic spot with many bars throughout. Disney Springs is another great area with lots of nightlife options. And if you’re staying on International Drive, you will find some lively bars within the area also.
Florida is home to some of the most incredible wildlife in the USA and while in Orlando, we encourage you to experience it! Air boat rides around the local swamps is something we really recommend. They’re thrilling, fun, educating and who know’s, you may even see some local Florida residents (alligators!) along the way!
If you’re thinking of a group holiday with lots to do, Orlando is perfect. With multiple accommodation options including hotels, apartments, private homes etc, buckets of fun in the theme parks and so much more, it’s always a hit with groups. So whether it’s a large family holiday or a girly getaway with friends, consider Orlando because you won’t be disappointed.
