Washington DC, the capital of the USA is a city that surprises all who visit. Home to world-class museums, quaint neighbourhoods and fantastic dining, it offers something for everyone. Best explored on foot or by bike, discover the fantastic National Mall and take in the history of each of the National Monuments, including the World War II Memorial, the Lincoln Memorial and the Washington Monument. Once done, visit some of the city’s most iconic museums including the Smithsonian Museum of Natural History, the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum, or if you’re visiting with your little ones, The International Spy Museum is also a must. Other exciting things to do in Washington DC include a visit to the White House, the fabulous district of Georgetown or why not visit Rock Creek Park, for some fantastic hiking trails.
Chicago is an exciting city that is fast paced and offers a million things to see, do and enjoy. Popular attractions and must-see sights include the Chicago Bean, whose official name is ‘Cloud Gate’, and the famous Navy Pier, perfect for unleashing your inner kid. For fantastic city views, take a stroll along the Chicago Riverwalk or check out the panoramic skyline views from atop of Skydeck. Chicago also offers incredible shows year-round and we really recommend a night at the theatre. Food wise, you’ll be spoilt in Chicago and while there, we recommend you have some of its famous deep-dish pizza. For shopping, be sure to stroll along the Magnificent Mile!
Boston is a really unique city as it offers a complimentary blend of old and new. Being a cosmopolitan city, Boston is comprised of towering skyscrapers, just like any other US city. But, amongst its bustling streets lies a rich history that’s evident around every corner. While there, be sure to walk the famous Freedom Trail and learn about each historic point of interest on the route. Other attractions include the John F Kennedy Museum, the Boston Fire Museum and the fantastic Harvard University. For an additional outdoor stroll, visit Boston Common, a wonderful public park, located in the centre of the city or stroll along the waterfront to get those iconic skyline views. We also recommend a day trip to Salem which is a short drive / boat trip away.
Philadelphia is a modern renaissance city that gives you a brilliant look back at the history of the United States of America. Popular attractions include the Liberty Bell, the Independence National Historical Park, Philadelphia Museum of Art and Chinatown. Society Hill is a must see area of the city, and this neighbourhood is famous for being one of the oldest parts of the city. While there, take in the stunning Georgian architecture and many historic sites. Another great thing about Philadelphia is that it is a tax-free city, meaning it has a lot of brilliant opportunities to shop and enjoy great prices. Philadelphia Premium Outlet Mall is a must visit.
