VICTORIA
Because Victoria is ideally situated between the Pacific Ocean and Saanich Peninsula farmland – you can enjoy fresh fish such as wild salmon and fresh,organic farm produce like artisan cheeses and native mushrooms and berries. Saanich is north of the city of Victoria and here you can enjoy a spot of wine-touring.
WHISTLER
Don’t miss the annual Oktoberfest in October. Whistler hosts this celebration of Beer and Bratwurst, featuring oom-pah-pah bands, dancers and traditional Oktoberfest fare. Whistler also has a popular Farmers Market which is held every Sunday in the Upper Village from mid June to early October. Enjoy live entertainment and delicious organic and local produce. Events such as Cornucopia and Whistler’s Food and Wine Festival in November, attract world-class wineries, celebrity chefs, and food connoisseurs.
KOOTENAY
Dining in the Kootenay Rockies can include fresh produce from the Creston Valley, wild mushrooms from the Arrow Lakes area near Nakusp, Rocky Mountain game meats, craft beer and locally roasted coffee. You can visit popular chain restaurants in Cranbrook and Trail, or dine at family-owned cafés in smaller communities such as Fernie and Revelstoke.
