Things to do in Seattle

Adventure awaits you in Seattle. Whether you’re a foodie, an art lover, the outdoorsy type or a city lover, Seattle has a range of attractions that will excite you and make your trip truly memorable. With museums, observation decks, fantastic dining and local experiences, there are so many attractions to enjoy. Below are some must top things to do in Seattle.

SPACE NEEDLE

For spectacular views of the Seattle skyline, a trip up the famous Space Needle is a must. This 605 foot observation tower shapes the Seattle skyline and offers incredible views over Elliott Bay, the Cascade Mountains and also Mount Rainier. Travelling from the ground up to the observation deck takes 43 seconds.

MUSEUM OF POP CULTURE (MOPOP)

The Museum of Pop Culture is a must in Seattle. Home to exciting and unique exhibitions which are based around pop culture, music, science and so much more, this interesting museum truly offers something of interest to all. A fun fact about the museum is that the Frank Gehry designed building is designed to look like a smashed guitar from above.

CHIHULY GARDEN AND GLASS MUSEUM

The Chihuly Garden and Glass Museum is dedicated to Dale Chihuly, a locally born, world-renowned glassblower. Famous for his incredible use of colour in glass blowing, this comprehensive museum showcases some of his best artwork to date. The Chihuly Garden and Glass Museum features interior galleries as well as an impressive glasshouse that showcases a vibrant 100 foot long sculpture that will wow all who find themselves in its presence.

PIKE PLACE MARKET

Pike Place Market is a Seattle Institution. Home to over 225 local artisans, food stalls and music-playing street performers, Pike Place Market is a bustling must-see in Seattle. Visit the world’s first Starbucks cafe, check out the iconic market sign or visit the gum wall, you will find loads to do throughout. Pike Place Market also underwent a Market Front expansion in 2017 and now features an open-air plaza that overlooks the stunning Elliot Bay.

SEATTLE AQUARIUM

If you’re visiting Seattle with your little ones, a visit to the Seattle Aquarium is a must. Located on the waterfront at Pier 59, this fascinating aquarium transports guests to an underwater world where they can meet sea otters, discover and learn about various sea creatures and even watch scuba divers feed the fish each day. The highlight of the visit will no doubt be your walk through the shark dome, an exciting underwater experience that will allow you to see sharks swimming right above your head!
