GETTING AROUND TORONTO
If you would like to venture out of the Downtown area, Toronto’s public transport system the TTC is very convenient and easy to use. The TTC is made up of the following transport options; subway routes, bus routes and streetcars. This means that you can literally get to any neighborhood with ease. Some of our must visit areas of the city include the Distillery District, St Lawrence’s Market and Queen Street West.
NIAGARA FALLS
Niagara Falls is located just a short 90 minute drive from Toronto is a must when you visit the city. Niagara Falls is one of the Wonders of the World and it is easy to see why! The beautiful falls will leave you speechless no matter the season and there are many Niagara Falls tours that you can take from Toronto.
Down at the Falls, you have an abundance of choice when it comes to how you want to experience this Wonder of the World. You can see the Falls by helicopter, boat or even by discovering the caves that lie behind them. The city of Niagara Falls also has many restaurants, shops and loads of fun attractions for all the family.
CN TOWER
The CN Tower is an iconic Canadian landmark and it one of the tallest free-standing buildings in North America. While in Toronto, be sure to take a ride all the way to the top in one of the Towers glass elevators! In the observation deck you can even stand on a class floor and look down…if you dare! The CN Tower gives you the opportunity to see the beautiful Toronto scenery and the picturesque Toronto Islands from the sky. And on a clear day, you can see as far as Niagara Falls!
If you are a fan of adrenaline and you are looking to make your trip extra memorable, why not see Toronto in the ultimate way – by doing the CN Tower Edge Walk! The Edge Walk allows you to walk around the outside of the observation deck, connected by just a rope! The experience is spectacular and a must if you are brave enough to do it!
TORONTO ISLANDS
For an escape from the urban sprawl of Toronto why not head out on Lake Ontario over to the Toronto Islands. These collection of Islands are perfect for an afternoon stroll around. The Islands are made up of parkland and beaches and when walking around them, you will feel like you are in the countryside! One of the best parts of a day trip to the Islands is taking in the amazing view of the Toronto skyline!
GET TO A GAME!
Torontonians love their sport and while you are in the city be sure to take in a sporting event! Toronto have many professional teams and so there are sporting events throughout every season from hockey and basketball to baseball and soccer.
Toronto really has so much to see and do and so your days in the city are sure to be packed with fun. Other things to do in Toronto include Casa Loma, Royal Ontario Museum and the Toronto Zoo so make sure to include them in your plans!
